travel // europe adventures
oh, what an adventure it was.
(leading photo from outside the Tate Modern in London)
Isaac, our buddy Jed and i, traveled to Europe in april. there are a few direct flights to Europe from denver international airport! for those of you who don't know, i'm a nervous flier - so the fewer layovers, the better - can i get an amen? for our Denver-Frankfurt leg, we bought business class tickets from the miles we've accumulated over the last year and a half! if you have great credit and want 3x the points on dining and anything related to travel, check out the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card!
We traveled to Germany and met up with our buddies Devan and Ian who were studying there at the time. we stayed at such a sweet airbnb & got a great deal on it! here are some pics of the design aspects of the place - isn't is sweet?!
this airbnb was one of our fav. places we stayed at in Europe - dream home goalzzz.
after a few days in the small german town, Weisbaden, we headed to London for 5 days! i had never been to the U.K. before - but i pictured it to be like the movie "parent trap", super fun and lots of culture. well, it was that! isaac and i quickly fell in love with the culture, business, and charm of London. we toured a few castles, ate at some amazing restaurants, and were fascinated by all of the history that colors the city. we stayed in another really cool airbnb and got invited back to our host's airbnb in France to take photos in exchange for a stay! :D
Off to SPAIN we went! I visited Spain my senior year at Illinois State and had the urge to go back ever since. We visited Madrid for a a short time and then headed to Barcelona on the high-speed train! The USA needs to invest in this type of transportation, it was so lovely and relaxing! We met up with some of our good friends who we met in California. We spent a weekend together in the northeastern region of Spain in a little town called, Pals. Barcelona is full of LIFE, y'all! If you haven't had a change to visit, put it on your bucket list! So much history, color, bread, wine, and joy!
we stayed in europe for about a month, and by the end of it, we were ready to come home. i personally was so inspired to do GREAT things with my life after seeing so much history, beautiful art, and so much talent from local business owners, artists, chefs, makers - i was ready to get home and start MAKING things happen.
if you are headed to weisbaden, germany, london, madrid, or barcelona, and need any recommendations, hit a brother up! :D
